Selection criteria and greenwashing
How do you select the locations?
A lot of research and double-checking goes into selecting each location featured in our app. Every location must meet our sustainability criteria. It's not about being perfect, but about making a genuine commitment to sustainability. At least 80% of a location's core offering must meet our sustainability standards. For example, a café should serve at least 80% of its coffee from direct trade or Fairtrade-certified sources.
How do you deal with greenwashing?
We aim to ensure the credibility of our selected locations through regular research and random on-site visits. If you ever have doubts about a location's sustainability practices, you are always welcome to contact us. We take your feedback seriously and investigate any concerns. If these concerns turn out to be justified, we remove the location from our app immediately. Our goal is to promote genuine sustainability, encourage continuous improvement, and build a community based on trust and transparency.
